Quote from Letter 6,4 to Cyprian, deacon. September 595
(W)e authorize your Beloved with the present letter, to give a thousand measures of wheat, or up to two thousand, if you can raise more, to our aforesaid brother [bishop Zenon]. And so we exhort you not to introduce any delay or excuse. Thus while time allows, Zenon can return to his own place without dange, with the help of God, and can also answer more quickly the needs of those suffering.
